As Dana takes her position behind the microphone you can see that she’s right at home. Her 5’4 petite figure brings no limitations to her powerful vocals that command the attention of every soul in her presence. Austin, TX, where Dana Clark was born and reared, is the city where she began honing her skills in the church at the age of six. Dana knew she wanted to be star. She wanted to capture the hearts of those who came encounter with her. Dana’s inspirations are many, and to name a few; the late great Ella Fitzgerald, Whitney Houston, India Arie, Luther Vandross and Yolanda Adams.

Her professional career began when she was one of twelve singers chosen to participate in the 1997 Grammy Awards festivities, which included recording a Jazz CD at the Hit Factory Studio in New York City. Dana was the only participant representing Texas. This monumental performance landed her a music scholarship from the University of Texas at Austin.

With her melodic vocals and eye-catching personality Dana frequently performs around Texas. Dana made it to Hollywood on the 2003 American Idol Season II Television Show. Dana is no stranger to performing in front thousands. She recently opened up for the Legendary Maze featuring Frankie Beverly at the 2016 Austin Urban Music Festival. As Dana continues to strive for excellence she reminds herself that she is blessed with wonderful family and friends who support her unconditionally and she knows that God is definitely in the blessing business.
