. Trey Morgan Lewis, Artistic Director – Trey Morgan Lewis is a current student at Sam Houston State University with a major in Theatre Arts. He serves as the founder and head director of the Bayou Theatre Company's African American's in the Performing Arts (AAPA) on the campus of Sam Houston State

University. He has directed over ten productions. Some of his noted productions are: The Colored Series, Profiles of Blackness, Pecong, Black Nativity, Gems, and The Easter Story. He was nominated Best Actor for the role of Mister in the G.W. Carver's 2013 production of The Color Purple by the Theatre Under the Stars’ Tommy Tune Awards committee. He has received over eight UIL One Act Play Competition acting awards. Some of his favorite performance credits are: Men with Broken Hearts (Sammy) at Sam Houston State University. The Piano Lesson (Wining Boy) at Prairie View A&M University; Little Shop of Horrors

(Mr. Mushnik), Ruined (Jerome Kisembe), Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom (Cutler), The Wiz (The Wiz/Technical Director), Sweet Charity (Herman), The Darker Face of The Earth (Alexander), Dearly Departed (Junior) at G.W Carver Magnet High School. He is also a member of AACT (American Association of Community Theatre). Upon graduating from Sam Houston State University, he wishes to pursue his Master of Arts degree at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

He is actor, singer, and director in the Houston area. He is the Founding Executive Director at The Bayou Theatre Company Sankofa Collective and works at Actor at Theatre Under the Stars and Program Coordinator at Get Social He is currently appearing in the TUTS production of SISER ACT Nov. 4-15, 2021, He currently studies Theatre/Acting at Sam Houston State University
